This painting was created in 2004 when attending Seahouse in Glenelg. The gloves have lace overlaid and the hat design is from a doily
This is an experiment. A first attempt at newspaper art. The canvas is large 48″ x 24″. French newspaper is first glued to the canvas. Then interesting clippings from various french books are added. It is sealed then the figure is drawn in charcoal and sealed. Then painted firstly in acrylic and finished in oil.
The theme of black and red is used to compliment other paintings I have done for my daughter. As this is a gift to her.
